REPUBLIC OF THE UNION OF MYANMAR Telecommunications Operator Tender Evaluation and Selection Committee Nay Pyi Taw Press Release Announcement of Pre-qualified Applicants That May Submit Applications for Two Nationwide Telecommunications Licences in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar April 11, 2013 The Telecommunications Operator Tender Evaluation and Selection Committee (‘Committee’) has announced that twelve (12) applicants have been pre-qualified to submit applications for two nationwide telecommunications licences in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The twelve prequalified applicants (in alphabetical order) are:  Airtel Consortium  Axiata Group Berhad  Digicel  France Telecom-Orange + Marubeni  KDDI Corporation + Sumitomo Corporation + Myanmar Information and Communication Technology Development Corporation (MICTDC) + A1 Construction  Millicom International Cellular S.A.  MTN Consortium (MTN Dubai + M1 Telecom + Amara Communications)  Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C ("Ooredoo")  Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) + KBZ + Myanmar Telephone Company Limited (MTel)  Telenor Mobile Communications AS  Viettel Group  Vodafone + China Mobile In order to be pre-qualified, applicants needed to satisfy objective standards contained in the Prequalification Rules that the Committee published on February 21, 2013.
