No wonder Financial Edge has recently interviewed Peter Choo whom the financial market has made criticism of him as a CONMAN....At one time King 0f IPOs and not King Cobras. If a porcelain ware cracks or chips off, where is the value? Likewise if we do 10 good deeds and with one fatal mistake,we are finished in the Corporate World. @rasdeep01,

Not sure if u have a strategy to buy and hold or to trade. Anyone that started to invest it is best advised to understand what are u looking for. If u are looking for a dividend yields, then probably a buy and hold strategy works while if u are looking to be actively involved in the mkt then a trader would be a better selection.

after reading Edge about 4 weeks ago, I had want to buy and hold, but after holding back for 1 week, I give up. I think put the money on Stratech better, only 0.025 cents only. Give Stratech 2 years the price may come to 4 cents if...

Bought at 0.48 cut loss at 0.36 .. Think can invest money at better stock... But result shld be out soon... Might shoot up suddenly..last time shoot up ard 0.20.. Anything possible

hello, steve. My opinion is, buy cnmc when market is at peak. cause when market plunge, gold price will sky rocket, than cnmc share should go up while other share plunge...
i plan to buy after sell Rex, maybe Q4-2014 or Q1-2015.

if you have extra cash, can consider buy now...if not mistaken, last time i check, the all-in cost for cnmc is around USD800++, now gold price is USD1270, so still got USD400++

I wrote to CNMC's investor relations asking for the reason why their production numbers are so lumpy. Below is their reply. Thumbs up to CNMC for their excellent shareholder engagement.

Dear Mr Soo,

Thank you for your query and your support of CNMC.

Aside from the hardware involved in the mining of gold, many other factors beyond our control impacts upon the production volume; key of which are ore quality & soil composition of the vein currently mined and prevailing weather conditions during the leaching processing.

With regard to weather conditions, heat & humidity affects greatly on the leaching processing. For example, if the weather is hot and dry, more water is needed to maintain the required alkaline level and the leaching process will be lengthened. The soil composition will also greatly affect the alkalinity of the water in the leaching process thereby affect leaching time. In effect, each gold pour is distinctly different from the one before and the one after.

The installation of new equipment in our mining operation and refining plant will increase the amount of ore processed. The quantity of the output i.e. how many ounces of gold produced per pour, is primarily determined by the quality of the ore. The time it takes to extract maximum amount of gold from the ore in each leaching process is determined by prevailing weather conditions -- for example, it may take 20 days to leach one batch of ore, it may take 25-30 days to leach another. As such, it is almost impossible to "smooth out the lumpiness of the production level" as you mentioned.

The fact that production peaked at the final months of Q2 & Q3 is happenstance, essentially dictated by mother nature.

i have faith in them...

their all-in sustainable cost is the lowest(+/-USD600/ounce) compare to all the other miner ex. Barrick Gold, Yamana, Goldcrop, Newmont, Newcrest....

Gold price now is somewhere near bottom, the lowest it can go is USD800/ounce...but very unlikely...

If they can maintain current production rate, their cash flow will be very good...PE +/- 6...ROE +/- 60% based on Q2/Q3 2014 result...

Mr. Soo, can ask them whether the dividend will be increase? or possible to give dividend every quarter? if so, i believe their share price will rise definitely...

the only negative aspect of this company is the owner/largest shareholder is from China...maybe that's why many people not confidence to invest...

Investors should look at the accounts closure to understand why the share price comes down when the results are announced with the latest accounts. Remuneration for 'KEY MANAGEMENT' has gone up by more then 150% from 2012 to 9mths 2014.

briefly went thru their presentation(Sep 2014)...seems like they got alot of gold mine, but all gold are still underground, waiting to be explore...only 1 mine, Castlemaine with all in sustainable cost of A$1,405 compare with CNMC($500-600)...how to make money leh?

i feel that, Lion gold have alot of exploration activities going on, so cost will be high, and will eat into the Castlemaine profit, CNMC currently only have Kelantan mine, which is producing cash flow...i wonder what is their plan next...

Great result, as expected...total dividend for fy2014, o.675 SG cents, translate to 2.5% dividend yield, based on result, ROE 44%...PE 7...
